Good Evening Everyone!
I hope you all have had a good week! It is officially my winter break! I have a new blog post for you today. I want to write about God being our provider. I want you to think about all the things that you have right now. Those things that you have right now, you can thank God for those because He provided for you. For some, it may be a lot and then it could be just a little, but no matter how you look at it, He provided all of it. I look at all the things that the Lord has given me including the job that I have right now, if it hadn't had been for Him, I wouldn't have all these things. So, before we get started, I hope you have your cup of coffee or tea with you. Let's begin!
When you were a child, your parents or guardians were the ones who provided for you. The shelter over your head, the food in your stomach, your schooling, your clothes, and even the extra things such as toys. Well can I tell you that the Lord your God is your provider. He cares for you every moment of every day and night, He meets our every need. This evening the Lord brought a word that He had spoken to my heart yesterday and it is, "Ask and it shall be given unto you." Matthew 7:7 James 4:2-3 tells us that, "We have not because we ask not." In this particular passage of scripture, James is speaking about the people coveting what others have, but he tells us that because we have not it is this reason because we haven't asked God. I have been asking and seeking the Lord about a particular need that I have, and He wants me to keep asking and seeking Him.
Now mind you, I only asked just a handful of times, but the enemy wanted me to think that I didn't need to bug Him so much about this need. Little did I know that the Lord wants me to ask and keep asking. He wants me to keep asking Him, to keep pursuing Him about my need. I know that once He meets this need, He will receive the glory for it for He is the only One that can make it happen! Also, by my believing in Him, it will come to pass! So, friends, I am here to tell you that if you have any particular need, ask away and make sure it's according to God's word and will for your life. Keep asking even if it gets tiring, you will not wear the Lord out with your petitions but be sure to thank Him for answering your prayer and meeting your need. If His eye is always on the sparrow, how much more is His eye on us? He is your Jehovah Jireh, your provider. He will provide for you and me friends! Do not doubt what the Lord will do in your life, He will go above and beyond all that you could possibly ask or imagine! I pray that this post encourages and blesses you dear friends! May the Lord bless you and keep you. Shalom, until next time!
