A Few Of My Favorite Things

Hello Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well. I have been pondering on whether or not I should tell my story of I got introduced to drinking hot tea. Surprise! I am going to tell the story so everyone grab a cup of tea or coffee of your choice and take a seat. It was on Thanksgiving day and I remember I was turning 20 years old. My aunt brought some Oregon Chai tea with her. She said that she tried it and she loved it. She gave me a couple of packets and I was eager to try it. (I am the adventurous one in the family, anything new, everyone gives it to me to try.) So I read and followed the directions on the back and I took the cup to my room. Oh my goodness, it was unlike anything I have ever tasted, better than hot cocoa. Needless to say, I was hooked! The following week, I went to the store and walked down the tea aisle and I had come across some English tea which is now my go to, Lady Grey tea. One tea led to another and then I started putting a some cookies with my tea and now it has become something that I look forward to in the afternoon when I come home from work.

My family makes fun of me and says that I belong in the United Kingdom, I laugh with them and tell them I wouldn't mind. (haha) As I said before it's something that I look forward to at the end of the day. After I take my shower, I will make a cup of tea, put a cookie with it, take it with me to my room and open my Bible and start reading. It has become part of my evening routine and it helps me wind down after a busy day. I work with four year old children all day that keep me on my feet so by the end of the day, I am exhausted. Drinking hot tea has taught me to slow down and enjoy the little things in life. You can't enjoy a cup of hot tea by gulping it down, oh no, it must be sipped and it usually takes me about 20 minutes to finish my little tea time. In conclusion, this is how I was introduced to tea and I cherish every time I sit down with a cup! I hope you enjoyed reading this post until next time!

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. I wanted to write a post about my style and why I like this particular style. Also how I got started dressing this way and who my style influences are, etc. Before we dive in, I hope you have a cup of tea or coffee, if not, go fix a cup and without further ado, let's dive in!

I would describe my style as classy. I love classic pieces such as a white button up shirt, khakis, loafers, pearls, etc. I will throw in some color from time to time like a pop of red, purple, or a fun pattern like leopard print. I love leopard print in a shoe or scarf. I do wear scarves, I love wearing scarves because they can pull together a outfit. I love wearing heels and flats. I usually wear heels for church or a special occasion like graduation or wedding. I like the classy style because it's timeless, elegant, and polished. It makes me feel more professional and productive at work.

What prompted me to start dressing classy? My last few months as a senior in high school made me want to change my style. I had been wearing jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes, and flip flops with my hair in a pony tail all the time. I looked in the mirror one day and thought, "You are graduating high school soon, it's time for a style change." So I began looking online for some style inspiration. That year Prince William and Kate Middleton were getting married and I saw it all over the news and became curious about the Royal family. Kate always looked polished and sophisticated to me and I wanted to dress like her. I began researching her outfits and that's what made me interested in classic style. I also love Audrey Hepburn, she is one of my favorite actresses and it's because I love her style. Also Jackie Kennedy.

I love my classy style more and more everyday and every time I try to change it up, I always somehow come back to the classic style. I love looking polished and put together. I believe it's important to like your style and if you don't, try different ones till you come across one that you like. Classy style is one of my favorite things and I hope you enjoyed reading this fun post! Maybe I can come up with some more style posts in the future! Until next time!
