What Is The Key To Your Success?

 Good Morning Friends!

I am so excited to be writing a new blog post this morning! This one wasn't planned, but God is writing through my fingers this morning. Friends, I have been seeking the Lord about living a successful life for a few months now and He finally revealed it to me this morning! The Lord has been pointing out and highlighting key words such as prosper, thrive, and success. I remember praying just the other day asking the Lord that I want to thrive and not survive. The past two years with all the changes happening around me, I have felt like I have been surviving. The Lord revealed to me that we as believers in Jesus are supposed to thrive not survive. So, this morning, I want to share with you this powerful truth that He has given me and I pray that it helps you and encourages you. I hope you have your cup of coffee or tea with you as we begin to peel back the layers of this truth! Let's begin!

We are beginning in the book of Matthew chapter 6 verse 33 and it says, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Okay friends, Jesus is giving us specific instructions to seek first His kingdom. Now how do we do this? We do this by prayer, reading His word daily, and keeping Him first in everything that we do such as thoughts, words, everyday tasks, etc. His righteousness means His way of doing things. We need to ask ourselves when we come to a situation or circumstance, what would Jesus say or do? His word helps us learn His righteousness, His way of doing things. Now I am learning the more time I spend with Him, the more God starts to rub off on me. Have you ever been around someone and you see them just about everyday and you're around them for a lot of time and before you know it, you start talking or acting like that person. It's the same way with God, the more you go to Him in prayer and read His word, His character begins to rub off on you and you begin thinking, talking, and acting like Him. Sounds good doesn't it? We all need this in our lives.

Now in the next part of the verse, it says, "And all these things will be given to you as well." What things is Jesus talking about? Well, if we go back a few verses, we will see that Jesus is telling us that we shouldn't worry about what we are going to eat, drink, or wear. He will supply these needs, but instead of focusing on what are we going to eat or drink or wear, God is saying, I want you to focus on Me. I want you to seek Me and while you are seeking Me, I will supply everything that you have need of. Oh friends, I cannot tell you how relieved, excited, and joyful I was as He revealed this to me. Friends, He showed me that we get focused on all the wrong things and then we try to do things in our own strength. God is saying, "Wait, don't spend all that energy trying to figure it out on your own, I have a better way." He is trying to tell us that He wants to be the One to supply all our needs, He wants to be our Provider, but He wants us to seek Him first.

This is the key to being successful in life is to seek Him, His kingdom, His righteousness, and then all these things will be given to us as well. How wonderful is this truth, to know that God wants to take care of us, He wants to supply your every need, but He wants us first to seek Him not the things that we need. Yes, we are to ask Him for these things that we have need of, but not to be so focused on our needs, but to focus on Him who will supply our every need. Friends, He loves you and He wants you to take time for Him, to spend time with Him, to love Him, to thank Him. Keeping Him first in our lives will allow everything else to fall into it's proper place. Whatever need you have, bring it to Him and then start delighting yourself in Him. Thank Him, praise Him for His goodness because He doesn't have to do a thing for us, but because He loves us, He wants to take care of us. So today, I pray that you will allow Him to comfort you, to cherish you, to love you, that you will open up your heart to Him. He wants you to prosper and to be successful by seeking Him first. I pray that this blog post has blessed you and encouraged you today. May God bless you and keep you. Shalom! Until next time!
