Shalom Everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well this week! This week has been good, but very busy! The name Immanuel has been on my mind for a few weeks now and I wanted to sit down and write a blog post about it. The name Immanuel is a special name and it was given to our Lord and Savior Jesus. If you think about it, we actually see the name Immanuel throughout the Bible during problems and circumstances. It's not written Immanuel every time, but He is there. Immanuel, God with us. If you would like to know more about this wonderful name, read on to find more!
Let's stop and think about this name for a moment; God with us. Now I want you to think for minute about all the struggles that you have had to face throughout your life. Think about all the impossible situations you have come to and thought there wasn't a way out. Think about all the tears, the pain, the suffering, the agony, the desperate times in your life. You may have thought you were alone and that no one understood. Maybe you were even thinking about taking your own life because you didn't believe anyone cared. Let me tell you something friends, you weren't alone, God was with you and He still is today. When He sent His precious Son Jesus to this earth through a virgin woman named Mary, that was our Immanuel, God with us. Yes, He died for our sins so that we could be saved, but He is still with us in the midst of our problems and circumstances. He made a promise and I am always quoting it, but He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us.
He is with you during the dry and weary times in your life, through the overwhelming and desperate times, through the dark times, and through your pain and suffering. He is with you, walking with you every step. There are times when He is even carrying you when you cannot take another step forward. Do you know how much He loves you? Do you know that He wants to be your Immanuel in your every problem, situation, and circumstance? Friends, I know that the last two years haven't been easy for anyone, but He is still with us even through the storms of life just like He was with the disciples in both storms in the boat and on the sea. The first storm, He was with them in the boat, but the second storm, He met them in the storm and said, "Peace be still."
Friends, if you are facing a storm in your life today or some very hard circumstances, you are not alone. Immanuel is right by your side walking with you. You may not be able to feel Him, but He is there. I want to encourage you today to not give up, God is going to use your pain and suffering for His kingdom. There may be someone out there that may need to hear your story, your testimony of how God saved you. You thought it was the end, but God came through just in time! Friends, He is with us through every thing we go through on this earth. Jesus Himself had to go through some very tough circumstances and hardships, but it didn't stop Him from healing people, reaching out to others in need, and being our ultimate salvation for us. He kept going through the pain and suffering because He knew the end result. He knew that many generations including today would be saved, would receive eternal life through Him. He did it all for you and I! Friends, I pray that you will be blessed and encouraged today in your walk with the Lord! May God bless you and keep you. Until next time!
