Good Morning Everyone!
Paul says to the Galatians, "You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth?" If we read on a little further, Paul mentions that someone has pursuaded them to think otherwise and then he mentions a little hametz leavens the whole batch of dough. The hebrew word hametz refers to sin, it only takes a little sin to ruin a whole batch of dough. So whoever this person is that Paul is referring to is involved in sin. Sin is a stumbling block or hinderance in our race on earth. Think about Adam and Eve in the garden when God told them both not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Here comes the serpent and he pursuaded Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit. Think about it, it only took one bite to disobey God. In a race, if you are not hydrated well or have had a proper meal or stretch your muscles, it only takes one pain to make you stop running your race. Otherwise you will risk injury.
So are we running our race properly? Running a race isn't easy, it comes with a lot of training and endurance. It takes a lot of practice to get better and better with your form, time, and speed. Also you have to find out what works for your body and what doesn't such as types of foods you consume, stretches, and even the number of hours you need for sleep. One person may struggle with weak ankles while another person struggles with hip alignment. Runners have to focus in on their weaknesses and spend extra time on strengthening those weaknesses. We all have weaknesses in our spiritual life, but praise God, He said, He would be strong in our weaknesses. When we are weak, we can call on Him for help and He will come to our rescue. He will be right there guiding us.
So I ask you today, are you running your race properly? Are you listening to other's opinions or are you running your race according to the Word of God? Are you struggling with a weakness or sin that needs to be dealt with? Are you listening to the pursuasion of the enemy or are you listening to God's divine voice? Do not allow man's opinions or satan's pursuasion stop you in your race. God is with you and is running with you to the finish line. Are you ready to hear the words, "Well done thy good and faithful servant?" Friends, I pray that the Lord continues to help you in every area of your life and that He will give you the grace to run your race. May God bless you and keep you. Until next time!
