Reading God's Word Can Cancel Out The Spirit Of Fear

 Good Morning Dear Friends!

I hope everyone is doing well, as you know, I have started back working again with our new little ones. We have some special, sweet children this year! Really quickly, I just want to let all those know that if you have children of your own or you are like me, you work with children, please remember that children are a gift from God. To be able to have children or to work with them is truly a blessing. Does this mean that they are never going to try to act up or push our buttons? No of course not, but our responsibility is to train them to behave and act morally in society according to God's word.

Right now, we are teaching about kindness, being nice to our friends, and how to handle our emotions. I think the whole world could use a refresher course on these topics right now, but like I said, if you God has given you children of your own or you have the priviledge to work with them, try to remember to see it as a blessing because you get to make an impact on them. Today I wanted to hop on here and write something that I have learned in the last few days. The Lord has been teaching me on how to handle the spirit of fear. I didn't realize that the spirit of fear has been tormenting me for the last few weeks. I would have nightmares and wake up in cold sweats, I would be nervous all the time and it was preventing me from being myself.

Anyone who knows me very well knows that I have a cheerful and pleasant disposition. I am usually smiling all the time and I love living this life that God has given me. Over the past few weeks, this has not been the case, my mind and heart hasn't been at peace, I would dread every day that comes and not enjoy life. I was reminded of a scripture the other day and it is in John chapter 10 verse 10, "The thief only comes to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may life and have it more abundantly." Who is the thief that Jesus is talking about? It is satan himself and as Jesus said to His disciples, he only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Little did I know, he had stolen my joy, peace, my smile, and was trying to kill me with the spirit of fear.

Friends, God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. He gave us the power of the Holy Spirit to go through this life, the love of God in our hearts, and the complete peace of mind! How wonderful this promise is to us! So, how do we keep the spirit of fear and other spirits out of our lives, by reading God's word daily, reverencing Him through what we do every day. Giving God reverence is giving Him the respect He deserves. How do we do this? By shining His light through our lives, reading His word and praying to Him, when we go to work, we speak His words through our mouths, we think like Him, we act like Him. We do everything in respect to Him as if He was there on the job with us or in our homes with us.

This gives us a whole new perspective doesn't it? Friends, it's time to bind up the spirit of fear and loose God's Spirit of love, power, and sound mind. It is not God's will to walk around living in a unhealthy fear. We were created to fear and respect God just like we fear and respect our parents. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. This means, He is going to double His giving to us. He loves us and wants us to lean upon Him and not to be burdened with the stress and fears of our life. He said that He would take care of us, let us take Him at His word and believe that He will. He will give us the strength to press on to see all the wonderful things He has in store for us. So, friends, I pray that you will be blessed and that He keeps you! Shalom, until next time!
