Good Morning Friends!
I hope you are all doing well! I have been doing well, I am at the end of the school year and it's one of the busiest times of the year. This time of year is bittersweet for me because I have watched 19 four-year-old children grow over the year and now it's time for them to go on to next grade and some of them will be going to another school. So, it's sad to see them leave and I try not to tear up, but it never fails, I usually cry a little during their graduation. It's such a heart touching moment for me because I have poured into these little ones with teaching them not just academics, but also how to communicate to their classmates, manners, and just random topics that they bring up. God has really blessed me with these precious little ones, it makes my heart want to have my own one day, Lord willing. So, today in this blog post, I just want to talk about your heart longing for that life that God has prepared and planned out for you. This is going to be a heart-to-heart post and one that I most definitely did not plan, but God has allowed me to go in this direction because someone needs to read this.
Over the past week, I have been mulling over in my mind about all the promises that God has promised me and even broke into tears asking God how long I must continue to wait for Him to fulfill those promises that I have held dear to my heart. Let me tell you friends, it is not easy being patient for a long period of time or trusting God when it seems like nothing is happening, but I know in the end, it will be worth it! I have listened to different people's testimonies where they have waited years for God to fulfill His promises to them. God doesn't move when we want Him to, but when He does move, He is always on time. He doesn't move on our time schedule, but rather His time schedule. So, if you are longing for that promise to be fulfilled deep within your heart, I feel your pain. It can sometimes feel like a painful ache deep inside or a silent scream saying, God, when?
Friends, keep pressing into Him, keep reminding yourself of His truth that He will come through and He is true to His word. He wants you to be blessed, to prosper, to be filled with His joy and peace. God knows and sees your heart and He knows that you long for the life He has for you, and He will bring it to fruition. Remember all the people in the Bible, they all had to wait and then the promise came to fruition. Remember just like a mother carries her child for nine months and then it comes time for the promise child to arrive on time. If you think about it, a baby doesn't always arrive on the due date, sometimes it's early or a few days late. The mother is ready to give birth, but the child will let you know when they are ready to come into this world.
It will start out with labor pains and then they increase and then the baby starts working its way down through the birth canal. The mother is in a lot of pain because she is having to push the baby through and then finally after a while you hear a tiny cry and then the mother has a big smile on her face and a sigh of relief. All the pain disappears as she looks at her precious baby that she has longed to see, and it's love at first sight. Her labor wasn't in vain because her blessing has arrived through the pain and labor. So, friends, your labor is not in vain because your blessing will arrive through the pain and labor. Keep trusting the Lord with your heart, keep putting Him first in your life, reading His word daily, praying with your whole heart and giving Him the honor and the glory for all that He has done and that He is going to do in your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Shalom, until next time!
