Good Morning Friends!
It has been a while since I have written a blog post and I hope everyone has been doing well. I have a new blog post for you and God gave me this while I was at church this past Sunday. Passover and Easter are coming up and we will be celebrating what Jesus did on the cross! So, today, I have something that is going to remind us of what Christ did for us and maybe some things you weren't aware of that He has done for you! Before we dive in, I hope you have your favorite cup of coffee or tea with you! Without further ado, let's begin!
When they drove the nails into His hands, those hands bled for you. Only those nail scarred hands can heal you because He knows your suffering. He suffered pain that was unspeakable, He was tortured and mocked on a level that we haven't experienced before. His nail scarred hands not only saved you but delivered you from eternal destruction. Those hands restored an everlasting relationship with your Heavenly Father who longs for you daily to commune with Him. He paid such a price that can never be repaid because of the suffering He experienced! The agony that He felt within His very bosom!
His nail scarred hands are the only hands that can comfort you. Why, because He bore our pain, grief, and sorrows. Isaiah 53:4 What does bore mean? It literally means He was cut for our transgressions, our suffering, our sins. Really stop and ponder that for a moment. My, my, what my dear Lord and Savior went through to save a wretch like me. Can you imagine the agony that He went through for me and you? They tortured and mocked Him; I can't even imagine what He was thinking while this was happening. He was unrecognizable because they beat Him terribly. Because of those nail scarred hands, He made it possible for us to live in His hope, peace, and joy.
Yes, my friends, He paid the high price for saving us with His love and by His grace. We must never take the cross lightly for He did not take the sacrifice lightly. He could have easily walked away, but He pressed and pushed forward to fulfill the call that was on His life. As Passover and Easter approaches, let us not forget the ultimate sacrifice that was made for you and me. Let us not forget His blood that was shed for us and His body that was broken for us. May God bless you my dear friends and keep you. Shalom, until next time!
