Good Evening Friends!
I hope you are all doing well this week! Over the past several days, there have been quite a few changes that have happened in the world. I am sure you are all aware of what is going on concerning Russia and Ukraine. I have watched the many attacks that have taken place and it is heart wrenching to see, but there is one thing that I have noticed that they are doing that has amazed me over and over again. That one thing is that they have put their trust and faith in God, and they have held prayer and worship meetings. Through all the chaos and confusion, they have clung to the Rock of Ages for strength and comfort, so this is what we're going to discuss today in this blog post. Before we begin, I hope you have your cup of coffee or tea with you. I am drinking lemon ginseng tea. Let's begin!
So, as I said, a lot has been happening over the past week and I am learning that the one thing that has brought me comfort time and time again is God's word. There is so much in the Bible that we relate to in today's world. God's word has stood the test of time, rulers, kings, and empires have tried to wipe out God's word time and time again, but they failed. God's word will never pass away, it will remain forever! I was reading the book of Psalms this morning and David knew the comfort of God's word. Psalm 119:147 says, "I put my hope in your word." Also, Psalm 119:165 says, "Those who love your Torah have great peace, nothing makes them stumble." David knew the power of God's word, the comfort, the blessed assurance that he needed from God's word.
Friends, I am here to tell you that God's word brings comfort, clarity, assurance, anything you need, it's in God's word. Friends, the world may be in a mess, but God is holding it together, there is not a moment that passes by that God is not aware of what is happening. He sees, He knows, He is fully aware of what is going on. He sees the pain, the hurt, the threat of war, the tears streaming down people's faces, He knows all! So, where can we take comfort in times such as these? We can take comfort in the Lord's word, for it says in His word, "Comfort, comfort My people." We are to comfort each other with His word, with the needs that need to be met. Are you in need of comfort today? Are you in need of reassurance? Look no further than the word of God! May the Lord bless you and keep you. Shalom, until next time!
