Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all doing well today! I coming at you with a new blog post that the Lord has prompted me to write this afternoon. I just want to give a praise report of all the wonderful things that God has done in this year. We are just a few days away from the new year and I am actually quite excited about this new year! I am looking forward to all the new things that God is going to do in the new year! Friends, God is good all the time even in the most difficult times because He always somehow sees us through every difficulty. Remember He has overcome the world so we too are overcomers. Before we begin, I hope you have your cup of coffee or tea with you. Today, I am drinking Dunkin Donuts coconut caramel iced coffee and it's delicious! Let's begin!
Philippians 4:8 says to, "Think on these things, things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there be any virtue or praise, think on these things." Let me tell you that I have had to really focus on the good this past year. Has it been easy? No, it hasn't, but with God, it's possible. So what things has God done in my life this year? Number one has been He has given me deeper revelation into the things that are to come that are revealed in the book of Revelation. I used to steer clear of the book of Revelation until God revealed to me the victory and the salvation of the Jews in the end. Friends, God always has a plan whether we notice it or not. We may not understand it, but He always has a plan! We can rejoice in the fact that God always has good intentions for His people even if it doesn't feel good or seem good at first. His way is always better in the end!
Number two is He has given me ways to bless others in a time of difficulty. My prayer has always been, Lord, help me to be a blessing to someone and He has allowed that to happen. Whether it be at work, at home, or out and about, and on my blog. It can be a word of encouragement, helping someone with a task at work, or simply giving someone who is hurting a hug. Never underestimate the small things, sometimes that can be one of God's greatest works! Number three, God has allowed me to go through times of difficulty to see His faithfulness. He is always faithful to us, but it's in times of darkness, confusion, hardship, pain, or suffering is where God shows His faithfulness. The test is are we going to remain faithful to Him even when we cannot see Him or feel Him near? Oh friends, that is the real test and oh how it is difficult at times. Those times of deep pain or suffering and you wonder where is God? Does He even see my tears and pain? There have been days this past year where I have felt that maybe He left me or was blind or deaf to my pain and tears. This is why you do not need to go by feelings, the enemy will make you think that God has run off and left you, but friends, He says clearly in His word that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Number four is He has blessed me through teaching little ones. If you do not know, I work at one of the local schools in my area with twenty four year olds. They are absolutely precious, they give me hugs all throughout the day letting me know that they love me. They are all the time telling me that they love me and of course I tell them that I love them. Now do they have their moments? Yes, but I do too. I have to remind myself at times that they have their moments just like I do. There are days when they didn't sleep well or something happened before they came to school that day. I will ask them what's going on and we will talk about it. I love those babies as if they were my own, children are a gift from God, Psalm 127:3 Number five is God has allowed me to grow in Him through my relationship with Him. Those quiet moments on the floor with my Bible and seeking Him in prayer, He has allowed me to see things that only He can show me. Times like those, I have felt like Daniel or Ezekiel. He has also shown me healing through forgiveness of others that have hurt me in my past. It is so freeing to forgive others, freeing for myself and that person.
Last, but not least, the Lord has blessed me on my birthday this year more than any other birthday! Even the day after my birthday was highly blessed! I give all the glory to Him because I know He did it! These are just a few things that the Lord has done for me this year! I know He has many more blessings in store for me in the new year, but I have to praise Him for what He has done for me this year! He has been the One who has sustained me, strengthened me, and given me that extra push that I needed! So friends, do not look at all that you have lost, look at what you have gained! "The Lord will restore what the locust has eaten" Joel 2:25 I believe the Lord is going to restore all that His people have lost within the last two years. The Lord loves you child of God and if He restored unto Job what He lost, He will restore unto you what you have lost and it will be His best! May the Lord bless you and keep you! Shalom, until next time!
