Our Attitude Is Everything

 Good Morning Dear Friends!

I pray you are all doing well, I am excited to write another blog post this morning! This is a spontaneous one, but as I was reading and studying my Bible this morning, the Lord convicted me and corrected me on a powerful truth this morning. I pray that this helps you in your walk with the Lord, but before we begin, I hope you have your favorite cup of coffee or tea with you. Let's begin!

So, the past several weeks, I have been walking through some difficulties with my job. Every year, it seems to always be something, but I had noticed that the environment around me was to the point where no one cared anymore about their work ethic, appearance, etc. I would say good morning to people as I would walk down to my room and I would ask how they were doing and I would get the same response every time which was, "I am tired." I thought that was strange because it's the beginning of the year, how could everyone be so tired already? Well, it wasn't long before I began picking up on the atmosphere around me and I started to become uncaring about my work ethic and becoming tired of doing the job.

I thought to myself, what is going on with me? I came home and began seeking God about it and talked to a dear friend of mine and began explaining the things that I had been witnessing and experiencing. Then that's when the answer came that I had been searching for, the Laodicean spirit. I thought, what is that? I began researching about it in my Bible and online. Friends, it's a real thing and all the symptoms that were descibed was what I had witnessing and experiencing. You see this spirit is a hinderance to our attitude about life. The Laodiceans had become tired and weary with doing good. Well the Bible clearly says, "Do not become weary in doing good." Galatians 6:9

Oh friends, I bagan repenting and asking God to change my attitude. Friends, our attitude is everything, it affects our life in so many ways. It affects our relationship with the Lord, our relationships with others, ourselves, our opinions, our thoughts, words, actions, work, home, etc. When I think about Jesus, He had a positive attitude or a faith attitude. Nothing in this world deterred Him from His relationship with God and His purpose on this earth. Had He had a bad attitude, He probably would have never went to the cross. Our attitude involves our thoughts and feelings, our soul. So sometimes when we are thinking thoughts we shouldn't maybe we should ask the Lord to change our mind. How do we do this? By prayer, worship, and reading His word.

I reminded of an old term, "stinking thinking." If we are not careful, our stinking thinking can affect everything and everyone around us. Usually when something stinks, it doesn't take long for people to notice. So, friends, we must take control of our thoughts and attitudes, we cannot do it alone, we need God's help. He said, "Without Me, you can do nothing." So if we can't do anything without Him, how much more can we do things with Him? He is a good, good Father and He wants us to change our attitudes for the better and it is possible through Him! I pray that this blesses you and helps you! May the Lord bless you and keep you. Shalom, until next time!
